It's not just state and federal Democrat officials who lack restraint and seek to grow government. Oakland County's yearly budget has ballooned to over $1Billion, increasing by more than 40% over the previous budget. Yet, Oakland officials were busy sending your money all over.  $3 Million of your tax dollars went to the World Economic Forum. They've sent millions your money to Wayne County for Transit, the DIA, and the Water for Wayne program. How much has Canton or Plymouth or Livonia sent to Oakland?

 

There's also an effort to move the County Government from the current beautiful campus to Downtown Pontiac. You know this will not be done under budget. More importantly, this short-sighted thinking will reduce the available space for tax-paying businesses that could actually fund Pontiac and Oakland government. But in typical Democrat fashion, they want to spend their way into prosperity. Across the budget there are ways to Restore Oakland's Fiscal Responsibility.
